JURGEN WANTS NEW BLOOD

The United States national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has brought into new players to the January training camp. Jurgen Klinsmann was appointed in place of Bob Bradley just as the United States prepare to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Predictably, Jurgen Klinsmann has been making a number of significant changes to the way the team plays and also the personnel. Now, he has brought in the duo of defender Jeff Parke and midfielder Brad Evans. These Seattle sounders men are expected to join the January training camp being conducted in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is the training camp that is being conducted in preparation for the two friendlies against Venezuela and Panama, which will take place shortly. It will give Jurgen Klinsmann with the perfect opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers, which will begin after the end of the 2012 European championships. Brad Evans and Jeff Parke will be replacing Omar Gonzalez and George John from the squad. Omar Gonzalez of the LA Galaxy and George John of the FC Dallas will now be departing the squad from the January training roster. So far, Brad Evans has played four the United States national team in four matches, while Jeff Parke will be attempting to make his debut.

Brad Evans was one of the important players for the United States national team in the run-up to the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. The United States national team will be playing against Venezuela at the Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on 21st January. They will be taking on Panama four days later in Panama City. Estadio Rommel Fernandez will be the location of this extraordinary friendly between the two nations. Jeff Parke will be looking to make his debut in either of the two matches.

Klinsmann Excited At France Match

US National men’s team coach Jurgen Klinsmann is excited about his team’s match against France, and hopes it will show the world just how far the USA have come on the soccer stage.

Klinsmann’s team face France in a friendly match at the Stade de France in Paris on Friday, and Jurgen is quietly confident that his team can put in a good perfomance – even if they are playing the former World Champions on their home turf! It will be the German’s fifth game in charge of the side, and whilst the team haven’t quite managed to perform as well as he had hoped, they are slowly getting there.

“It’s really a very exciting match for us to play. We should get used to playing against such good teams. We’re in the process of restructuring the national team by introducing lots of young players, so this will be a great occasion and test for them. We’re in a bit of a transitional period and taking on France is a marvellous opportunity for us to learn.

“We may not be at the top level just yet, but we are very ambitious. We’re not coming just to learn, but to be competitive. It should be a great game.”

Jürgen Klinsmann is the former German international who is the current manager of the United States national football team. He is best known for having represented the likes of Inter Milan, Stuttgart, Tottenham, and Bayern Munich during his playing career. With regard to the managerial career, Klinsmann is best known for having led Germany to the third position in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He took over his current position as the United States national football team manager in 2011.

Klinsmann has played for various youth teams before starting his career professionally, but it was his move to the Stuttgarter Kickers that changed his career. After joining the youth academy of Stuttgarter Kickers in 1978, Klinsmann soon made his debut for the club in 1981. He spent only two seasons before moving to Stuttgart in 1994. It was the peak of his career and he made 155 appearances for Stuttgart before moving to Italian side Inter Milan in the summer of 1989. Even though he spent only three seasons with Inter Milan, he made more than 95 appearances and was regarded as one of the important players for the club during that time.

He also won his first major trophy – the UEFA Cup – with Inter Milan, a feat that he repeated a few years later with Bayern Munich. In 1992, Klinsmann moved to France team Monaco and spent two seasons with them. Even though this spell was not successful as the Inter Milan career in terms of the trophies, Klinsmann helped Monaco finish in the second place. In 1994, he moved to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, although he spent only one season with the club. He was signed for just £2 million, but he left early despite having one year left on his contract. The final years of his playing career was spent playing for the likes of Bayern Munich and Orange County Blue Star in the United States.
He has also made 108 international appearances for Germany from 1987 to 1998.

After bringing a halt to his playing career, Klinsmann embarked on a journey to become a manager. He became the manager of the German national team in 2004 ahead of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Germany was struggling for a direction at that time and Klinsmann received a lot of praise for successfully staging a great World Cup from hosts Germany, who finished in the third position. Klinsmann stepped down from his position after the World Cup and went on to manage Bayern Munich. He took over Bayern Munich in 2008, but could not repeat the magic that he achieved with the German national team.

He left Bayern Munich by mutual consent in 2009 after failing to achieve the team’s targets that season. In 2011, it was announced that Klinsmann would be taking over from Bob Bradley as the coach of the United States national football team.
Jürgen Klinsmann won the FIFA World Cup and the European championship with Germany, while he was also voted as the German Footballer of the Year in 1994.
