KLINSMANN NOT INTERESTED IN SPURS

The United States national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann has said that he is not looking at the possibility of replacing Harry Redknapp at Tottenham. Jurgen Klinsmann recently took over as the national team manager of the United States from Bob Bradley. He has been doing an excellent job with the team, as he recently guided them to a 1-0 win over 2006 World Champion’s Italy. Now, Harry Redknapp has been linked with the England managerial job after the resignation of Fabio Capello. Harry Redknapp has been able to guide Tottenham to the Champions League once in the last three seasons, while they are on course to finish in the top four this season as well.

However, ever since the speculation regarding the future of Harry Redknapp started, Tottenham have not been playing well in the league. Hence, it is thought that the board of Tottenham are looking to arrive at a swift decision regarding the future of Harry Redknapp. Jurgen Klinsmann has been spoken about as one of the ideal candidates for the Tottenham job given his experience of the England club during his playing days. However, the USA national team manager has ruled out the possibility of him joining Tottenham in the near future saying that he is committed to his current job.

“It’s just a wonderful club. But I am extremely proud and privileged to be US national team coach. opefully we will have, after qualification, a great World Cup in Brazil. Then, in soccer, just like in any other environment, you never know what will happen,” Klinsmann said in an interview given to the British tabloid paper. Klinsmann, though, has not been successful at club level after his poor spell with Bayern Munich a few seasons ago. However, he has been extremely successful in the international scene.
