Jurgen Klinsmann says that it is a fantastic decision by Swansea to appoint former United States national team manager Bob Bradley as their new boss.
The Premier League outfit are owned by Americans and it is not a surprise that they have gone for Bradley. Even though the American has little experience of managing clubs outside the MLS, many have vouched for the 58-year-old who has been in charge of clubs like Chicago Fire, Chivas USA, and the Egyptian national team. Bradley will have to make an impact straight away, as Swansea are 17th in the table and already looking like relegation contenders.
The club sacked manager Francesco Guidolin after repeated attempts to improve the club’s form resulted in a failure. Klinsmann knows a thing or two about the Premier League from his time at Tottenham as a striker. In the past, Klinsmann has also been linked with the vacant managerial jobs but he seems to be content with continuing as the US national team boss for the time being. (more…)
US national team feared the worst when one of the star assets – Clint Dempsey – was diagnosed with irregular heartbeat.
It has forced him to miss the national team’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers. However, the latest news is that he will not be on the sidelines for a long and manager Jurgen Klinsmann is pleased to hear the news. Even at 33 years of age, Dempsey is one of the important players for the national team. As someone who has represented the likes of Fulham and Tottenham in the English Premier league, he is extremely experienced at handling big games.
The attacking midfielder has made 130 appearances for the national team and scored 52 goals in the process. He will be undergoing medical evaluations over the course of the next few weeks. The first concern began when Dempsey missed the game for Seattle Sounders against Portland Timbers. The match finished as yet another defeat for Seattle Sounders, who have been very poor this season. The US will be involved in two important games against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago. Even though these are World Cup 2018 qualifiers, the US are confident that they can perform and get victories even without their star man in the team.
There is much speculation about who will be the new coach for England.
There are many candidates being considered for the position, including former captain of England, David Beckham, whom many people consider to be a natural leader which is what the England’s team needs right now. After the team was not able to complete the group rounds in the Premier League, there is renewed focus on finding the right coach for the team.
Jurgen Klinsmann is the US coach who is one of the candidates being considered for the position. FA’s technical director, Dan Ashworth talks about Klinsmann, who is in his sight as he considers possible candidates for the position like Arsene Wenger, Eddie Howe, Sam Allardyce and others. England has been without a coach after Roy Hodgson has resigned from the position after the team lost out to Iceland. This was in the round of 16 following which the England team departed from the tournament. (more…)
With several candidates being considered for the next managerial position in England, Jurgen Klinsmann has been one of the names that are being considered.
He is definitely one of the favorites of the bookmakers currently but there are close contestants like David Beckham. Klinsmann is known to have revived the fortunes of Germany team for the two years he spent with the country’s team as their manager. Joachim Low was assistant to Klinsmann, who is considered a winning coach of World Cup caliber. Since 2006 Klinsmann has been doing his managerial job and hence, he has over a decade’s experience to provide.
Indeed, the Euro cup decides the moves and appointments for many teams and their managers. With England, having failed to pass on to the knockout rounds, there is frenzy in the air about bringing about a change in the top manager position for the team. Many feel that England is rapidly declining in their performance and gone are the days when they were right behind Germany or were better than them which were the trend in the late sixties.
