Joachim Loew open to future call-up for German World Cup winner

Germany head coach Joachim Loew has admitted that he has been impressed with the form of Mario Gotze during the recently-concluded campaign and the playmaker stands a chance of returning to the national team in the future. The 27-year-old has not made the national team since 2017 and this has partly resulted from the fact that he has been struggling with health issues.

Speaking in a press conference, Loew acknowledged that he has been keeping a close eye on Gotze, who contributed seven goals and seven assists during the recent Bundesliga season, he said: “I’m so happy for Mario (Götze). In the past few months, I have noticed that he is very dynamic and very well-trained. If he keeps up on this path, he will come back to the national team.”

Jurgen Klinsmann

“Jurgen Klinsmann would get the telephone if Stuttgart somehow happened to call him”, his agent Roland Eitel told SWR. This is the midst of reports to a Bundesliga return for the German football manager. He was also the head coach of the national team of United States. Having begun the campaign with high expectations, Stuttgart sacked their mentor TayfunKorkut in October following a moderate begin in the campaign. Sadly, rather than pivoting the club’s destiny, new manager Markus Weinzierl began his rule with three embarrassing defeats by giving away 11 goals and not scoring any goal in return.

Stuttgart are joint toward the last in the Bundesliga standings and reputes executive Michael Reschke has experienced harsh criticism, prompting reports that Jurgen may come back to the place where he grew up. This is also the same place where his hometown club is and the only place where he has not played badly. “Jurgen Klinsmann would surely dependably get the telephone if VFB Stuttgart were to call,” Eitel said. Nonetheless, Eitel included that Klinsmann would just consider coaching only at an international platform.  Lately, Klinsmann said in a few meetings in German media that he close to wanted to come back to football, yet he won’t be sure in assuming control over a team which isn’t equipped for achieving the World Cup or even reach the semi-finals.

Klinsmann open to talking with Stuttgart

Jurgen Klinsmann’s representative, Roland Eitel, has although stressed that his client is looking for coaching jobs only with the national sides and not the clubs, but at the same time he said that Klinsmann wouldn’t mind having a discussion about a possible management role if Vfb Stuttgart approaches him.

Stuttgart was the club where Klinsmann enjoyed his most successful stint as a striker. He joined them in 1984 and during a 5-year spell; he went on to play 156 league games and netted 79 times. So he has that emotional connect with the club and Eitel didn’t rule out the possibility of the 54-year old, who doesn’t have any job for past some time after he was removed from the American set-up, returning to the club in the capacity of a manager.

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that he is annoyed by claims that Mesut Ozil has been criticised in Germany owing to his Turkish roots. PANAMA WOES REMIND FANS ABOUT USA?

The world was reminded how low United States football has sunk following the 6-1 demolition of Panama by England on Sunday. The loss sends the CONCACAF team home after losing two games in the Group G. This comes after the exit of another CONCACAF team Costa Rica from the competition. Well, they have Mexico representing them very well.

Panama were beaten by Belgium 3-0 before England added more to their woes. They would be happy to have scored their first ever goal in the World Cup though. Hopefully, they can get more of that when they face Tunisia in the final group fixture on Thursday.

Nawalka Aware of greater opposition

Poland made a stunning start to the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign after thrashing Gibraltar 7-0 with Robert Lewandowski being the pick of the bunch. The opposition were playing at home, but Poland came into the match as favourites due to the overwhelming strength of this professional team. In contrast, Gibraltar were able to call upon only two players who have been playing as professionals. They included Preston North End’s Scott Wiseman and Israeli side Bnei Yehuda’s Liam Walker. The gulf in quality showed throughout the encounter, as Poland comfortably brushed aside the opponents.

However, Poland coach Adam Nawalka will be aware that far greater opposition await them in this qualifying campaign. They start with a tough match against Germany at home, while they are up against Scotland three days later in October. These two home games will go a long way into determining the outcome of this qualifying campaign. Getting anything more than four points will be seen as a huge success for the Polish team, who have not been a major fixture at international tournaments of late. The presence of Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski will be a major boost for Poland and he did not disappoint in the opening qualification match after scoring four goals.

All of his goals came in the second half, while Grosicki helped himself to a brace in the match. Szukala scored the other goal in this comprehensive victory. After a string of impressive performances with Arsenal at the start of the season, Wojciech Szczesny was in goal for the Polish and this saw Artur Boruc dropping to the bench. The victory against Gibraltar was far more important considering that one of their main rivals for the qualifying positions, Scotland, lost in the opening match. Three teams have taken a win from the opening round of fixtures. They include Germany and Republic of Ireland aside from Poland.
